iClock was born from a simple idea: athletes and coaches deserve timing equipment they can trust.
 

Before creating iClock, founder Steve Baird knew the demands of high-level competition firsthand. Steve represented Canada at the 1992 Olympic Games in Barcelona, competed at the 1994 Commonwealth Games, and won silver in the 25 km Open Water Swim at the 1991 Pan Pacific Games.
 

At that level, every second matters.
 

Steve experienced firsthand how important clear, accurate and reliable timing is to training and competition. That experience led to a question:
 

Why shouldn't athletes everywhere have access to better timing equipment?
 

That question became the starting point for iClock.
